- Don't be silly, it is not the OS, it is the software that is ignoring the
- disk-error that the os is reporting to it and continuing to try to read or
- write to the disk. The requester simply intercepts the error prior to
- reporting the error to the program and having had some marginal floppies and
- one marginal hard-drive, believe me, I am glad it was around.
